Frequently Asked Questions
Why are the colors on my print and the colors on my computer screen different?
The difference in color can be caused by a number of factors including:
- Variation in software packages. Different software packages may handle and process a particular color differently. When you specify a particular shade of green, for example, your word processing software may ask your printer to make up that color differently than your database software or your page layout software -- giving you a different color of green.
- Your computer monitor may not be able to simulate fluorescent color. Fluorescent color is achieved by converting invisible bands of color to visible bands. In the case of computer monitors, the way in which color is created does not allow for such a transformation.
- The lighting in your room may be affecting to color you see on your monitor. "True" color may be achieved with the lights turned off.
- The paper you are using has a coating that is affecting the printed image. You may need to try different types of paper
