How should I store my DayGlo cartridges?
Follow these print cartridge maintenance tips to ensure the longest life from your print cartridge and optimum performance from your printer.
- Keep a print cartridge in its packaging until you are ready to install it.
- Do not remove a print cartridge from the printer except to replace, clean, or store it in a print cartridge storage unit. The print cartridge will not print correctly if removed from the printer and left exposed for an extended period of time. Therefore, it is important to replace the cap included with your cartridge. Please follow these instruction on how to position the cap on your cartridge:
- HP: Place the cartridge on the pad of the clip. Push up on and forward on the clip until the clip snaps into place.
- Canon: Replace the cap included with your print cartridge on the bottom of the cartridge.
- Epson: Epson cartridges are only removable from your printer when they are out of ink.
- Store the print cartridge in the same environment as the printer.
