About Dayglo
DayGlo Corp., a subsidiary of RPM Inc., is the world's largest manufacturer of daylight fluorescent pigments, offset printing inks and bases, screen inks, paints and allied fluorescent products. Conventional (non-fluorescent) pigment dispersions, and oleoresinous vehicles and varnishes are also produced, as well as fluorescent yellow dyes. The company serves the color consuming industries primarily consisting of plastics, graphic arts, paints and coatings, dyes and textiles.
The company was founded in 1946 by Bob and Joe Switzer. DayGlo invented daylight fluorescent pigments and has maintained the status as the world's largest producer for more than 50 years.
DayGlo joined the RPM family of companies in 1991. The strong DayGlo brand and global recognition of the company makes it an excellent fit with the leading brands represented by other RPM companies, including household names such as Rustoleum and Bondex. RPM is a worldwide producer of more than 100 leading brand name coatings, sealants, and specialty chemicals that are top performers in industrial and commercial markets.
DayGlo has developed many of the fluorescent pigment technologies that are commercially available today. Basic polymer and dye chemistries are regularly developed by our research and development staffs for use in new products.
